It was a fantastic opportunity to have a great time and help the needy at the same time. Microsoft Charity futsal Carnival, held at Fico Sports Hub, managed to pool about $476, 800 for the charity. Our President, Mr. S.R. Nathan, took time off his busy schedule to grace this meaningful charity event. Youth and Sports Minister, Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan, showed off his skills on the pitch along with other MPs. They took on the celebrities, in a novelty match.

The event was also organized in support of the President's Challenge. Thirty two teams took part in the day-long carnival. Each team pledged between S$5,000 and S$50,000. Most of the fund raised will go to Microsoft's efforts to raise a million dollars for people with disabilities.

Many members of the public attended the event. Along with the usual food stalls, the balloonist’s, caricaturist’s and photographer’s stalls were also very popular, especially among the kids.

When you think it couldn’t get any better, FICO even threw free water soccer for all! A water soccer tournament was also organized. At the end of the day, all participants were happy because not only they helped the needy but they also had a very good time!
